Emilie Duncan Event Planning was founded in 2003 after Emilie discovered a passion for weddings and events while planning her own wedding and assisting friends and family in their planning.

Her degree in merchandising management from Michigan State University and an extensive background in the buying office of several national retailers has given Emilie the unique view and experience set which she brings to each wedding and event. The company is full service but gives you a true boutique experience - Emilie is at every client meeting, answers every phone call and email personally and is the lead coordinator at each and every wedding. This high level of attention has prompted past brides and grooms to comment that Emilie always made them feel like they were her only clients. She never accepts more than one wedding or event per weekend and only a limited number of clients every year which means that you get the level of attention and service that you deserve. She truly considers it an honor to be part of every wedding and event and it shows - her past clients are now friends!

Emilie is a distinguished graduate of the Association of Bridal Consultant's professional development program, earning the title of Professional Bridal Consultant (TM). She has received training and has experience in floral design, photography and cake design and decoration. She attends at least two regional and national seminars every year to keep up to date with trends in the wedding and event industry. She serves on the Board of Directors for the Columbus Chapter of International Special Events Society (ISES) and is an active member of the Association of Bridal Consultants (ABC), Columbus Bridal Consultants (CBC) and Wedding Professionals of Columbus (WPC).
